I have not given up on any of my projects - rather, I've been tearing my hair out over all of them since my last chapter posts in November. Chapter Eighteen of Imperial Guard, due to my amazing planning no doubt, is all of my weaknesses as a writer rolled into one: more exposition than dialogue, a more serious tone, and a group of characters who are far trickier to inhabit than Cat, Chris, Amara and the rest. I'm probably about half done, but once I get past this scene that's been killing me for a month and a half, it should get better. On the upside, after I get past the sheer difficulty of writing Anwar's scenes in this chapter, I'm sure I'll hate him more.
I'm also working on the Catalyst revision, which is amassing more and more changes as I think about it, and an East Asian folklore-based novella that a friend commissioned in a charity auction, which has a beginning that just isn't cooperating with me. Between these three winners, writing is killing me lately, and thus, the absence of posts.
I'm starting to build up some momentum lately, which will doubtlessly increase once I get to Japan. (Yes, I'll be busier, but traveling gives me the best creativity boost EVER. Plus, long train rides. <3) So expect some kind of post soon!

Well, I know you're a poetry person, so that's probably a good place to start. The ones in there I'm more proud of would be, say, Siren, Narcissus, Life Underwater, and Hansel and Gretel, but there's a lot.
As for fiction, In Descending Order is old as the wheel, so it's not the best example. Catalyst is in the midst of a reboot, but if you like fantasy, you can give the revised first chapter a look~?
I have two current big ones: the one you'll see a lot of in the galley is The Imperial Guard, which you can take a look at if you like epic action-y stuff with long-suffering protagonists and lots of banter. (I-I like banter.)
The other actually isn't on here... it's on a filter on my LJ that I can add you to should you so desire. But it's a YA fantasy project with lots of Alice in Wonderland imagery, so if that interests you, you're more than welcome.
... ahaha, that was long.

I just figured out that you have one of these, so I figured I should stop by.
Erm... I'm a bit swamped with deviations at the moment, but will definitely take the time to browse your gallery at some point. I'm just not entirely sure when.

Your Missouri-tagged writing led me to your site.
I'm trying to get the word out to Missouri Deviants about a little festival I'm producing in early May.

Please send this to any Missouri/Kansas writers you may know who would be interested.
Thanks!

It was 15 minutes of sleep. Andy Worhol was misquoted.
